WHAT IS A STRETCH CEILING?
A Stretch Ceiling is a suspended ceiling system consisting of two basic components – a perimeter track and lightweight fabric membrane which stretches and clips into the track. In addition to ceilings the system can be used for wall coverings, light diffusers, floating panels, exhibitions and creative shapes. Stretch Ceilings allow the incorporation of all types of light fixtures, grilles and fixing points by the use of a proprietary background support. Nearly all types of apertures can be incorporated.
FABRIC
Our fabric material is a 0.2mm thick PVC based, fully recyclable, Stretch Membrane which comes in a vast array of colours and finishes which include Matt, Satin, High Gloss Lacquer, Perforated and Translucent. The material can be printed or painted for additional effects and is entirely waterproof, washable and impermeable to vapour. The material is also maintenance free, hygienic, non-toxic and is fire rated to euro class standards.
WHY CHOOSING A STRETCH CEILING?
Dropped ceiling is a perfect solution for any place that requires hiding imperfections and damaged surface. Unaesthetic finish, external pipes - they can be easily covered with fabric.
HOW IS IT INSTALLED?
Before the structure is installed, the fabric is attached to the corners of the construction with special fasteners. The ceiling is warmed up and attached to the boards installed on the walls. The heat causes the fabric to contract and stretch, creating a smooth and even surface. The last stage is hiding the slits between the boards and the walls.
